As part of a continuing series of talks stemming from the recently published Super Models (GDNYC S/S 2012) about the often inscrutable relationship between business and art, GDNYC presents a panel discussion on the subject of the joys and necessities of a diversified practice. What is the impetus to branch out from design to curation, from art to retail. What, if any is the difference? In joint studios, what spurs principles to work beyond the scope of their partnerships? Joining the conversation will be Greenblatt-Wexler, Zut Alors!, and Project No. 8 among other studios who continue to find their way through a delicate ecosystem of sturdy roots and budding initiatives.
